Surrounded by a colorful landscape, Puerto Escondido has a relaxed, secure feeling of a small town.  Its beaches are famous for their beauty, it is also the surfer´s paradise (Zicatela Beach) with high waves that challenge the most advanced surfer.  The best time to surf in Puerto Escondido is in the summer.
